LPPC CEOs Convene in South Carolina for a Tour of the Fairfield Nuclear Project

Santee Cooper and its partners at Brookfield are advancing one of the nation’s most significant potential new nuclear projects, with plans to complete the Fairfield Nuclear Project, the former V.C. Summer Units 2 and 3 — two partially constructed AP1000 nuclear reactors near Jenkinsville, South Carolina.

The project represents a unique opportunity to bring more than 2,000 MW of new, reliable nuclear generation online using existing infrastructure and partially completed assets.Led by Santee Cooper President & CEO Jimmy Staton, CEOs from LPPC member utilities convened in South Carolina this week to tour the facility and hear directly from the experts working to advance the project.
